About Us
Integrity.Responsive.Service.Aggressive.
For over thirty years, I’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with individuals and businesses facing the most stressful, confusing, and intimidating tax issues imaginable. From audits and levies to garnishments, missing records, and high-stakes negotiations, I’ve worked tirelessly to resolve just about every kind of IRS matter there is. And I’ve never treated a single case as “just business.” I treat each client like they’re family—because when someone comes to me for help, that’s exactly what they become.
When or if you ever hire IRSATAX, you hire me, nobody else. I structure my workload in a manner that allows me to give you 100% of my attention and then some. I've taken and passed the NC CPA exam, the NC Bar exam, the NC Realtor's exam, and took and passed the Certified Tax Resolution Specialist examination. None of that matters and that is not where my value lies. My value comes from years of experience and even experiencing my own hardships. None of those exams ever taught me how to navigate all of life's obstacles. My experience, both failures and successes, and my perserverance to never give up speaks louder than titles. I bring the mindset of a U.S. Army Ranger from the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment—someone who lives by a creed of never leaving a fallen comrade---and also as a former Blackwater USA operator that will protect you and shoulder your stresses without any question.
I apply that same relentless resolve to tax cases, using precision, strategy, and calm under pressure to help people regain control and peace of mind, even when they feel overwhelmed or hopeless. Clients don’t just get representation—they get a warrior in their corner who will fight like it's personal. Because it is.
You may feel lost, anxious, or unsure of what comes next. That’s okay. My job is to guide you through the chaos, rebuild your case piece by piece, and make sure you never face it alone. That’s my Ranger’s promise. And it's the axiom of IRSATAX---YOU WILL BE DEFENDED.

When the IRS Knocked, We Answered
"I’m going to lose everything." That’s what Mark, a small business owner in Charlotte, said the first time we spoke. He had just received a notice of intent to levy from the IRS for unpaid back payroll taxes that dated back three years. His accounts were frozen. His employees were scared. And he was barely sleeping.
Mark had worked with a couple of national tax relief firms already—places that promised the world and delivered form letters. But no one ever listened. No one treated his case like it actually mattered.
When we talked, I told him the truth: “You’re in a bad situation. But I’ve seen worse. And you’re not going through this alone.”
We got to work. In under 48 hours, we filed for a Collection Due Process hearing to halt the levy. I reconstructed missing financials with him, line by line. I negotiated directly with the IRS Appeals Office to propose an installment agreement that reflected the actual state of his business—not what a spreadsheet made it look like. And through every call, every deadline, and every ounce of red tape, I stayed in the fight.
In the end, the IRS not only lifted the levy—they accepted an offer that saved Mark over $90,000. He kept his business. He kept his employees. And he got his life back.
When I say I fight like it's personal, it’s because I’ve been trained to never leave a comrade behind. I live by that code—whether the battlefield is foreign soil or a tax file that looks like it's about to explode.
The IRS may be intimidating. But with the right strategy—and the right advocate—you’re never powerless.
Saving a Veteran’s Home from IRS Seizure
When James, a retired Marine living in Wilmington, NC, came to me, he was weeks away from losing his home. The IRS had filed a Notice of Federal Tax Lien for over $118,000 in back taxes—debt that had quietly built up over years of struggling with PTSD and navigating VA disability red tape. He’d tried to keep up, but like many vets, pride kept him from asking for help until things reached a breaking point.
When I saw the levy paperwork and realized his primary residence was on the line, I said the only thing that mattered:
“This fight is mine now.”
There was no time to waste. Within 24 hours, I filed a Form 911 with the Taxpayer Advocate Service, citing imminent economic hardship and serious health concerns. I simultaneously submitted a request for a Collection Due Process hearing to halt enforcement. I worked with his VA rep to build a financial hardship profile, documented his medical condition, and submitted a partial pay installment agreement to keep the IRS at bay.
The IRS stood down.
Within six weeks, we had the lien lifted and secured a long-term resolution plan that reduced his monthly obligation to just $87. And more than that? He kept his home, kept his dignity, and finally had someone in his corner who understood that battles don’t end when you come home — sometimes, they just change shape.
For me, it wasn’t just about tax codes and transcripts. It was about living by the Ranger Creed: “I will never leave a fallen comrade.” That promise doesn’t end with the military—it’s part of who I am, and it’s the foundation of how I practice.
The IRS might come armed with power, but I come armed with purpose. And I never retreat.
A Mother’s Fight to Save Her Child’s
SSI Benefits
Angela was a single mother in Raleigh with a 9-year-old son who had been receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) due to severe developmental disabilities. One day, she received a letter from the IRS stating that she owed nearly $27,000 in back taxes—taxes she didn’t understand, tied to a previous year where she’d unknowingly filed incorrectly as “head of household” while also receiving stimulus and pandemic relief support.
But that wasn’t the worst part. Because of that alleged debt, the IRS had flagged her for garnishment—and the Treasury was preparing to offset her child’s SSI payments.
When we first spoke, her voice cracked as she asked, “Can they really take the money my son needs to survive?”
I said: “Not on my watch.”
We immediately filed a Request for Innocent Spouse Relief, paired with a Form 8857 and supporting documentation to show she had no knowledge of the prior errors on her returns, which had been prepared by a third-party service. We filed an emergency hardship claim under IRC 6343, and brought in a statement from her son’s medical team highlighting the severity of his needs.
More importantly, I gave Angela something the IRS hadn’t—respect and a plan.
Not only did the IRS freeze all collection activity, but within three months, they approved her for full relief under innocent spouse provisions. Her child’s benefits were protected, and the tax debt was officially zeroed out. The letter from the IRS said “Case Closed.” Angela said, “I can breathe again.”
This case wasn’t just about numbers or notices. It was about standing up for someone who thought the system was too big to fight.
And when the system tries to push people like Angela around, that’s when I dig in the hardest.
Because “I accept the fact that as a Ranger, my country expects me to move further, faster, and fight harder than any other soldier.” And that includes standing between a child and injustice.
If they’re coming for what matters most to you, I’ll be the one who stands in the way.”
